• Meta Connect 24: Meta just revealed there new version of Ray-Ban glasses, allowing the AI to see through your eyes and to explain the world. Allows real time conversation in different languages between users.

• Meta also introduced the Orion holographic glasses, emphasizing their capabilities in mixed reality experiences, allowing users to interact with both virtual and physical environments seamlessly (imagine your PC screen floating in the air).

• OpenAI released its advanced Voice Mode to ChatGPT (mobile version). Allows to have real conversations with AI (Try it out: let it speak with an accent or in different moods like funny or scared).

AI's Integration Will Transform Physical Spaces

The question is whether this integration of AI into our daily lives will impact physical real estate. Our thesis is YES!

Can you imagine talking to your laptop? Sounds weird? However, already today, we are talking to AI much more often than we think.

In fact, phone wait times and the quality of virtual assistants are already being dramatically enhanced through Voice AI. These bots not only offer more flexible response interpretation and precise follow-up questions but also bring real-time insights into conversations. Imagine an AI that can instantly check contracts, verify service coverage, or recall solutions to similar issues—all while you're still on the call. The ability to seamlessly manage these tasks makes conversations much smoother.

Doesn't sound that weird anymore?

Typing and explaining your thoughts to ChatGPT can take some time when you have a complex task to solve. This will become even more time-consuming when models start to ask questions and seek more details before answering your query (which can be expected soon). Even though AI voice might look like a massive step forward, the degree of innovation is not as high as it seems. When you speak to an AI assistant, it turns your voice into text and figures out what you're asking using a large language model like GPT-4. The training of its speaking capabilities is pretty similar to the training of an LLM—the AI figures it out by itself using huge amounts of data, so much so that it can also detect moods and accents.

Advanced Voice Cloning:

Tools like ElevenLabs have taken this a step further. They specialize not only in creating generic voices but also in imitating any voice using a small sample of speech. The system creates a profile of the voice—which takes only a few minutes—and can then generate any text in that voice within seconds. Caution: Even brief audio clips, like voice messages, can be sufficient to clone your voice.
